About “Abdul Rahman Hakeem”
Dr. Abdul Rahman Hakeem has completed his medical training from Kilpauk Medical College Hospital, Chennai. Following this he moved to UK where he acquired specialist training in HPB Surgery and Abdominal Organ Transplantation including Liver, Kidneys, Pancreas and Small Bowel from Cambridge and Leeds from 2011 to 2018. He completed his PhD in Human Liver Reengineering from the University of Leeds during this period. He has received numerous awards and grants, including the ESOT Young Investigator Award (2017) and 250,000 GBP prestigious NIHR UK grant (2012). He has published more than 75 articles in indexed journals in the field of HPB, Transplant and General Surgery and has given more than 30 international podium presentations. He was also awarded the Chief Resident by the Cambridge University Hospital and completed one-year MBA as part of the award.
